Tanya and Vito got in touch with us to supply and design a custom made TV-Mirror for their Master Bedroom on The Block. Tanya knew she wanted to include one of our TV-Mirrors in their built-in cabinetry, to disguise the TV in the bedroom.
When we first spoke on the phone, Kinsman had already begun building their floor to ceiling cabinetry and Tanya was concerned that a TV-Mirror wouldn’t fit in the space. We were so happy to assist with recommending the ideal TV-Mirror size and frame to sit neatly in the alcove of the cabinetry.
When Tanya shared the measurement of the alcove and spoke with us a bit about her interior style, we advised on the 43” TV-Mirror for this space and the Modern Matte White Frame, as Tanya was looking for a fresh, white contrast to her warm, oak cabinetry.
The alcove in the cabinetry was also designed off-set to the bed, not directly opposite. Although this was an initial concern that Tanya had for TV viewing from bed, we ensured Tanya that installing the TV-Mirror with a swivel bracket was going to be absolutely fine for TV viewing in this setting.
This bedroom is a very clever design for a home on The Block. The permanent features are neutral, creating a room that anybody can picture themselves in this space with their own style. The room is simple and fresh, with warm timbers and bright whites. Even the wallpaper is subtle.
The choice of bed, arched bedhead and artwork are real statement pieces, bringing personality to the bedroom – while the permanent features and fixtures such as flooring, walls, window dressings, cabinetry, and the TV-Mirror in Modern Matte White Frame all remain timeless and neutral – a recipe for a winning Block home!
